I've been missing my home country of Singapore where I spent my childhood years. From a place where food is just so plentiful, I especially crave all the delicious eats that I don't get to have as often here in Canada.
As a tribute to my beloved homeland, I recently designed a collection of Singapore Food Chemistry Cards from laksa to durian.
Wanna learn more about the chemistry behind these cards?

Happy New Year! Hindsight is now officially 2020 and a new year is always a chance to turn the page and fill it with new hopes and dreams.
2020 was definitely a year of pause, reflections and re-starts! In a unique situation that offered some much-needed time to step back and try out new things, I found myself sewing. At first making mini felt plush toys to keep kids entertained, which transitioned to sewing zipper pouches. With the Christmas holidays around the corner, I was suddenly sewing science lab glassware ornaments.
Hello world! Today, I’m going on a new adventure.
But first, a little history. I’ve been making cards by hand since 2004 and selling officially since 2010 under the name Handmades by Rovena. What started with not-so-sciency cards has led to an explosion of nearly 150 chemistry-inspired designs and the justification for a new brand collection and website, The Chemist Tree, which is this.
And so a new adventure begins. Will you come along with me?
I hope so.
